I'm a photo hoarder. I keep everything. Every blurry shot, every overexposed disaster, every photo where I accidentally focused on the background instead of my subject. Those "bad" photos weren't failures – they were textbooks.
When I first picked up a camera, I thought photography would come naturally. I had an eye for pretty things, after all. But the reality? Most of my photos were a blurry, dark, awkward mess — no matter how hard I tried.
If you're just starting out on your photography journey, I want to share a few things I wish someone had told me back then. These are the reminders I needed, and maybe they’re the ones you need, too.
